5 Things to Do in NYC

New York City is the perfect bustling get away for Bergen County locals, here is a list of some fun events to check out during your summer free time.

1. Sunset Sail: Sail down the Hudson River and enjoy the cool breeze of late summer night's. Pack your own creative picnic, and enjoy complimentary champagne or beer. Get a view of the Statue of Liberty like never before and enjoy the clear views of the city.

2. Chelsea Galleries: While this may not be an event to tow the kids along for, it is a must visit. Feel swanky and like a true New Yorker while sipping on red wine and wearing black. Most openings happen on Thursday nights. Also it is fun to gallery hop, who knows what you may find!

3. Check out the Met (and it's rooftop!): From May to October the Met Rooftop is open and features an amazing exhibit. Enjoy a summer evening after a museum outing by taking in the sunset while overlooking Central Park.

4. Brooklyn Bridge: Walk across the bridge at sunset, you will enjoy amazing iconic views, and also get your daily workout in.
5. The Highline: An aboveground park now sits where freight train tracks used to be. Walking along the scenic paths you will see wonderful architectural landscapes, and great views of the city. Enjoy some of the delicious gelato stands along the way and just sit and enjoy the summer sun.
