Bergen County Dessert Must-Haves

While Summer usually means skipping desserts and more workouts to prepare for 3 months of beach trips, it's also the perfect time to try all those cool tasty treats that we've been craving all winter long. Here is a list of some of Bergen's best desserts that are worth every calorie, so go ahead and indulge!

Uncle Louie G's Italian Ice & Ice Cream (Located in Park Ridge): Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich with Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream, so good you are allowed to eat it for breakfast (and lunch and dinner.)

Glaze Donuts (Located in Ridgewood): The recently opened gourmet donut shop is the answer to our prayers, serving up fresh homemade donuts and other baked goodies. We recommend the S'mores donut and Cannoli Donut. They even offer a Maple Bacon donut for those craving something a bit more savory.

Kilwins (Located in Ridgewood): While their ice cream is delicious and perfect for a late summer night snack, their candy apples are also a grand-slam. Check out their S'mores apple to pretend you are enjoying an old-fashioned summer camp treat.

Sook Pastry Shop (Located in Ridgewood): Jam packed at all times of the day this little cafe serves up some of the most delicious crepes imaginable, as well as decadent pastries to go with your cappuccino.

Shake Shack (Located in Paramus): The Shake Shack Craze has been sweeping the nation, with perfectly crafted fries and delicious burgers. But they also have seriously decadent sweet eats, like shakes and custards. They even sell treats for your dog, so you both will leave satisfied!

Cereal Milk Soft Serve: Venturing to New York City for the day? Check out Milk Bar's several locations around NYC to try this delicious twist on regular ice cream.

Dominique Ansel: Another NYC must hit is this mouth watering bakery that serves up amazing cronuts (fancy croissant donuts) frozen s'mores, and cookie shots filled with milk.

Cool down this summer with some of these goodies and check out BergenMama's article for the full run down.
