2015 marks the year that Marty McFly lands in the famous movie Back to the Future II, and the technologically advanced future displayed in the film isn't too far from some of the high-tech gadgets that have been invented since 1985. Here is a list of some new technologies and gadgets that offer users a smart and connected home that once seemed only possible in movies:
Automatic Doors: Ever tired of juggling sixteen things at your front door while trying to find that one pesky king on your key ring? Kwikset Signature Series products turns your Smartphone into a house key, and even allows you to produce several e-keys that your friends and family can have access too. As well, there is a lock app that takes away that pesky worry about whether you remembered to lock the door by alerting you the status of the lock through notifications.
Upgrade your Kitchen: Cooking has never been easier with new apps that allow you to turn on the oven, adjust the temperature, or even receive alerts when your dinner is ready (no more yells from Mom to get to the dinner table!) You can also even adjust the temperatures of your refrigerator and freezer from your devices. Here is a list of kitchen appliances that are compatible with these applications.
Be the Perfect Host: Control the music at your next get-together by only lifting a finger, through wireless home audio speakers that can be connected to your personal music library or online music streaming. As well, you can impress your guests with your SmartTV that can stream videos, access Facebook and all your smartphone applications from the comfort of your living room.
Invoxia Triby: This updated twist on an old fashion intercom, allows users to call Mom or Dad at the push of a button, and allow users to write back hand written notes that will be shown on the e-Ink display. As well, it can be used as a radio, streams online music, and can be linked to take calls from your smartphone.
We think some of these innovations are world's better then the those predicted in Back to the Future II, to check out some of the things we are glad the movie got wrong about the year 2015 read Time.com's own article here.
